Sturry,
Fordwich and District / Aire-Sur-La-Lys Twinning Association
Do you enjoy visiting France
and wish to know more about the French way of life? If so, why not join in the
social and cultural activities provided by the Twinning Association. The main
objective of the Association is to bring together the communities of Sturry,
Fordwich and District, and that of Aire, a medieval town a short distance from
Calais. The highlight of each year is the exchange visit between families in
Sturry, Fordwich and Aire which has led to longstanding friendships.
This year our main exchange
visit will take place on Saturday 8th May, when a party from Aire
will come to England. Our activities will include a visit to Wildwood to see
the local animals we share with northern France, notably the wild boar, lunch
with local families and a social evening at Junior Kings School. If you would
like to take part in the day’s events and host a visiting family from Aire, please
contact the Association’s secretary, Alan Holden, at twinning@sturry.org.
